I love this pastel. It’s more of a drawing than a painting and it was so much fun to create. Risk-it-all Paul is my son and Daughter-in-law’s rescued greyhound who has made his own impact on social media and let’s face it; he has the world’s goofiest face. That large nose is often the first thing my son sees upon waking in the morning. Thus, the inspiration for the title.

You Awake? has been accepted into two juried shows and I’m waiting for feedback on a third. I’m hoping to sell it, but so far, no nibbles. Once I get a good Giclee printer, I will get much more affordable prints of him up in my store. First though, I have to pay for a new roof.
