Guillermo Blanco, 1/16/1927-2/28/024

My father-in-law died a couple of weeks ago and it took me that long to come up with the idea to honor him with a portrait. Portraits are not really my cup of tea (though-shameless marketing here-if you want to commission me, I’ll definitely give it a shot.). I tend to make them a little cockeyed but this one isn’t too bad. Guillermo was a strong and complicated man and I tried to have his eyes reflect that.

We’ll miss him.
